kitchen re-model part #1

It's begun. Last weekend Peter and his friends Karl and Randy helped him take out the wall that divided our kitchen and dining room. Isaac and I spent the night at my friend Jenni's as the project ended at about 1am Friday night and started again at 5am Saturday morning. This wouldn't be conducive in our tiny house to Isaac getting any sleep. The outlined tape on the floor is close to the placement of the island that we will eventually put in. Next up in about 1 month, new white cabinets, countertops, floor, sink, and lighting, and backsplash. Basically everything will be new except the oven and fridge. My favorite part is how much more light we get in the house just from this one small improvement. We get the morning sun through the kitchen that now carries through to the dining room and the evening sun that came into the dining room shines through to the kitchen. Not to mention the perk of being at the stove and watching Isaac at the table. Keep posted for more to come, we are pretty excited around here!
